Yes you can, it will be used just like a credit card in this instance however i would be careful of authorization charges that might take more out of your account than expected.
Hotels require a credit card (or debit card) at check in to guarantee any incidentals will be paid at check out. They authorize a certain amount and if it isn’t spent during the stay they release the rest to your bank account at check out. Some airlines, rental car companies, and TA/ Travel websites do the same thing.
